Missouri Rogers
Thomas
Apr 17, 1952 — Oct 13, 2021
Wiergate
As a child, Missouri had a strict upbringing in church and attended regularly. She was reared at Rosebloom Baptist Church and at an early age she was baptized there. She later joined West Chapel Baptist Church and attended for several years.
She was known for being called "Missy" because of the twist in her walk and how she loved to dress-up. She would often say, "I don't meet no stranger" and was often found chatting with everyone and smiling.
When she wasn't spending time with her grandchildren, she and her husband could be found fishing or eating at a restaurant.
Before her health began to decline, she was known for visiting the elderly and shopping at thrift stores. Her hobbies included word search puzzles, writing, and collecting coins. She loved watermelon, candy, shopping, and jewelry.
Missouri will forever be remembered by all who loved and knew her. She leaves to cherish her memory: Husband: Donald Thomas, Jr. Married since May 6, 1978 (43 years).
