Mozell
Castle
Dec 24, 1944 — Sep 24, 2020
Jasper
Mozell Castle was born on December 24, 1944, to the late Leon and Edna Arline Castle in Spurger, Texas. He departed this life on September 24, 2020.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Willie Faye Hudson, brother, Curtis Castle, and daughter, DeQuita Haskell.
He graduated from Scott High School, class of 1963, and worked a couple jobs throughout his life. These jobs include Visador and Tennessee Gas, where he retired from as a Pipeline Technician.
Mozell was happiest when working, playing with his grandchildren, and visiting the nursing homes, delivering birthday cake and ice cream every month for all the residents. Other hobbies of his included fishing, hunting, riding horses, and cooking his famous fried bread called "Hokey Doke". He lived a full and joyful life dedicated to providing for his family.
He accepted Christ at a young age, and as a young adult, he joined Dixie Missionary Baptist Church, where he was a faithful member, serving on the Treasury Board, singing in the male choir, and helping maintain the church cemetery. He united in marriage with his lovely wife, Alice Faye, with whom he shared 56 wonderful years. To this union three daughters were born, whom he cherished dearly.
He leaves in God's care: his loving wife: Alice Faye Castle; two daughters: Angela Cain and LeQuita Castle-Armstrong; five granddaughters: Shamone Maxie (JP), Patia Haskell, TeQueita Haskell (Nakeedra), Alexis Haskell-Miller (Guy), and Chanulae Smith-Collins (Courtney); one grandson: Kiriakis Castle; ten great-grandchildren; four loving, supportive sisters: Ora Limbrick, Earlene Keys, Evelyn Sykes (Norman), and Wanda Merchant; two brothers: Herbert Castle (Pearl) and Jackie Castle; one living brother-in-law: James C. Hudson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
