Nancy Lee Wilkerson was born on September 5, 1937, in Newton County, Texas, to the late Bessie and Hezekiah Walker. Nancy graduated from High School and went on to complete various educational programs which included, attending a trade school for Welding, and completing the Nurse Aid program at a Junior College. She also attended Houston Tilliston. Nancy was a part of the workforce for over thirty years.

Nancy met and married Howard B. Bowser, and they were married for twelve years. Although she had a love for many things, Nancy particularly enjoyed music and reading the Bible. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bessie and Hezekiah Wilkerson; children, William Bowser and Tina Bowser; siblings, Helen Wilkerson, Nancy Lavern Berry, Hezekiah Wilkerson, Jr., and LC Wilkerson; and niece, Emma Black.

Nancy leaves to cherish her wonderful memories: her daughter, Debra Bowser; grandchildren, Bryan Bowser, Chelsea Bowser, Chaunacey Bowser, Reginald Mayes, Crystal Mayes, Joshua Bowser White, and Nakia C. Key; nieces, Glory Berry, Zora Berry, and Darlene Berry; bonus daughter, Felicia Bowser; nephews, Lonnie Lee Coffee and Dexter Berry; great-niece, Lori Price; and a host of nieces and nephews in Arizona, California, Georgia, and Texas.
