Ola Marie Grant was born on January 7, 1960, to the union of the late Dennis and Lola Grant in Jasper, Texas. She was granted her wings on August 20, 2020.

She attended JH Rowe Elementary and Jasper High School and graduated May of 1978. Ola accepted Christ as her savior at an early age, and she was baptized at the Gilgal Baptist Church, where she served faithfully as Vice President, Senior Choice, and head of food service until her health failed.

Ola was employed at Mary E. Dickerson Memorial Hospital in dietary, where she served dutifully for 25 plus years before the hospital closed.

Ola loved being around family and friends. She was always kind and helped others. Her life was an example of this. She made a friend everywhere she went. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother first and foremost. She treasured her children and loved her role as grandma. She had a vivacious personality and always made the people around her laugh.

Ola was preceded in death by her father, Dennis Eugene Grant; mother, Lola Mae Grant; and her son, Patrick Grant.

She leaves to cherish her memory: son, Tommy Grant; five daughters, Cordelia Grant, Yasmin Grant, Gabrielle Grant, Amber Grant, and TaLove Grant all of Jasper, Texas; two sisters, Jeanne Grant Wysingle and Ruby Grant both of Jasper, Texas; six brothers, Robert (Iona) Grant of Houston, Texas, Donald (Balance) Grant of Pineland, Texas, Ravette Grant of Jasper, Texas, Charles (Precious) Grant of Beaumont, Texas, Wallace (Wanda) Grant of Liberty, Texas, and Terry (Franshell) Grant of Jasper, Texas; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousin, relatives, and friends.
