Pamela Denise
Grisby
Feb 24, 1970 — Jul 24, 2022
Pamela Denise Grisby was the eldest of five sisters and three brothers, two of which she shared a biological father with. She was born to Mary Faye Grisby and Joe Lane on February 24, 1970, in San Augustine, Texas. Pamela was reared in the home with her mom, siblings, uncles, aunts, and two phenomenal Christian women, her grandma Codella Grisby and great-grandmother Mary Grisby, whom we all called "Momma." Pam was surrounded with lots of love, and it was in her early years that she was trained and taught about family, faith, and having the love of God in her heart. Pam later joined Pinegrove Baptist Church (now Goodwill Baptist Church) alongside her mom and siblings.
Pam attended West Sabine in Pineland, Texas. During her adolescent years, she began working in home health, nursing homes, and rehabilitation centers in Sabine and San Augustine counties. For over thirty-plus years, Pam devoted her time, energy, and pursuits to providing for her family and nursing home patients and their families. Her heart of gold, quality care, compassion, smile, and devoted, tender care brought hope and long-lasting connections with many. Pam shall be remembered and respected for her dedication.
Pam met Roy McDaniel in her adult years, and they settled in and began a family. She later gave birth to the loves of her life, Chaddrick and Trevon. The same faith instilled in her heart at a young age, Pam instilled in her sons, respectfully and humbly. This faith and love for God brought her a mighty long way through life's encounters. Pam loved and protected her family. She was truly the rebel and shining, loving light of the bunch. She loved hard and would wage war for any of us, wholeheartedly. She enjoyed walking, special gatherings, good times, food, and fun with family. We will forever cherish and remember her love, protection, and fiery, yet gentle nature.
Pam departed this life on Sunday, July 24, 2022, in her home.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary F. Grisby; father, Joe Lane; brother, Bobby Lane; sister, Lanore Grisby; and nephew, Donovan Grisby.
She leaves to cherish her memory: two sons, Chaddrick Grisby and Trevon McDaniel of Hemphill, TX; three sisters, Stephanie Garrett (Broderick) of Beaumont, TX, Tamala Green (Ray) of Corrigan, TX, and Cassandra Grisby (Mon) of Pineland, TX; two brothers, LeeRoy Grisby of Beaumont, TX, and Paul Audrey (Kathy) of Galveston, TX; three aunts, Shirley Hunt (Lee Edward) of Pineland, TX, Joyce Kegler (Bobby Don) of Pineland, TX, and Doris Grisby Blake (Ray) of Hemphill, TX; two uncles, Donald Grisby of Hemphill, TX, and Travis Grisby (Elise) of Beaumont, TX; two special friends, Lori Brickley of Hemphill, TX, and Lori Williams of Pineland, TX; and a host of cousins, nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends.
