On February 13, 1960, a baby girl named Patsy was born to Jessie and Doshia McCain. She was the fourth child born to this union.

She attended school in Newton, Texas, where she graduated in 1978, and later moved to Houston, Texas, to attend college. She worked several jobs throughout her life, and upon retirement, she was employed at Baylor College of Medicine, where she served as Supervisor of Doctor's Accounts.

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Doshia McCain, and her brother, Nathainel Levias, Sr.

She leaves to mourn and cherish her memory: two sons, Shant'e McCain (Jackie) and Corey Gardner (Tracy); three sisters, Diana, Veronica (Earl), and Valretha (Tyrone); four brothers, Donald, John (Donese), Charles, and Chris (Kim); and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
