Paula Clursky
Davis
Aug 21, 1954 — Oct 29, 2025
Today, we gather to honor and celebrate the life of Paula Davis, a truly beautiful soul—both inside and out. She embodied grace, kindness, and compassion in all that she did. Her gentle spirit and warm heart touched the lives of everyone who knew her.
Paula Gene Clursky was the second of sixteen children, born on August 21, 1954, to the late Joye Lene Adams and Henry Lee Clursky in Jasper, Texas. She accepted Christ at an early age.
She met and married Marcellus Davis, Jr. on November 29, 1974, and two children were born to this union: Melissa and Marcelyn. She spent her early years working as a home health provider. She was the best mother and friend two daughters could ever ask for—a constant source of love, guidance, and strength. Her wisdom and unconditional love were gifts that shaped their lives in countless ways.
She loved her family and friends deeply and gave of herself freely. Always willing to lend a helping hand, she would give her last and even the very shirt off her back to someone in need. Her selflessness and generosity were reflections of her pure and loving heart.
She found joy in the simple things—her love for animals and birds, her appreciation for nature's beauty, and her delight in music and dancing. Her laughter and radiant smile could light up any room, leaving warmth and happiness in her wake.
Though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit will forever remain in our hearts. Her love, her strength, and her grace will continue to guide us each day.
We thank God for the precious gift of her life. She will be dearly missed, but her memory will live on eternally in the hearts of all who loved her. She left this life to return to the open arms of her Creator on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, to join her parents, Joye Lene and Henry Lee Clursky. She was also preceded in death by one sister, LeAnna Clursky, and three brothers, Larry Clursky, Culpepper "C.C." Clursky, and Robert "Buster" Clursky.
Left to treasure many memories are her precious daughters, Melissa and Marcelyn Davis; grandchildren, Antonio Issac and Kevin Issac; great-grandchildren, Akarie and Kamarie; eleven siblings, Carrie Crawford (Henry), Sammy Clursky, Ramond Clursky, Margaret Clursky, Mary Bailey, Mack Clursky, Lonnell Clursky, John Clursky, Carl Clursky, Priscilla Peacock, and Marsha Clursky; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
