Quincy Allen Horton, also known as "Duke", was born to Earlene Hadnot and Oscar Horton, Sr., on January 26, 1980, in Jasper, Texas.

He attended public school in Jasper, and graduated from Jasper High School with the Class of 1998. Duke was well known throughout the community. Quincy loved his family and family get-togethers. He enjoyed family and close friends, and he loved watching college football, NFL football, and NBA basketball.

Duke was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, brother, James Hadnot, and sister, Patsy Hadnot.

Horton of Houston, TX, and Breanna Jones of Dallas, TX; one grandson, Jacory Waggoner of Dallas, TX; three sisters, Gail Anderson of Tyler, TX, Deffielee Dorsey (Eric) of Grand Prairie, TX, and Gloria Horton of Mansfield, TX; three brothers, Arcey Horton of Jasper, TX and Archie Horton (Ronnie) of St. Louis, MO, Oscar Horton Jr. of Jasper, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
