Obituary

Ray Anthony Watson "Baby Ray" was born on December 15, 1967, to the late Nelson Watson and Mrs. Vera Mae Reliford Watson in Newton County, Texas.

He graduated from Newton High School in 1986. He loved basketball while attending high school. He worked at the Kirby Sawmill in Bon Wier, Texas, for many years. He later went to truck driving school in Louisiana. After school, he began driving 18-wheeler trucks to provide for his family.

He had a love for building "hot rod" cars and a passion for listening to music.

He loved his grandkids, siblings, and all his nieces and nephews so much. Family was very important to him.

Ray was preceded in death by his father, Nelson Watson Sr.; brother, Lonzo Watson; and his son, Seandarius Hennington Watson.

Ray leaves to celebrate his life and legacy: wife, Mary Watson; his mother, Vera Watson; three children born to Sharitta Spikes, Tanisha Spikes (Jeremy) and Ray Spikes (Jason) of Dallas, TX, and Chelsey Watson of Newton, TX; bonus children, Dylon Limbrick, Alexis Limbrick (Tay'vanique), Ashanti Fowler, Lashanti Fowler, and Lynette Fowler; grandchildren that he loved so much, Elaysia Hartsfield, Emori Hartsfield, Edward Hartsfield III, Emori Hartsfield, and bonus granddaughter, Gracelyn Limbrick; brothers, Nelson Watson, Jr. (Rose), and Burnis Watson (Teresa); sisters, Carol Jenkins and Beverly McCoy (Brian); special godson, Kaleb Sandles (JoJo); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
