Rayford Jarod Smith, Jr., was born October 1, 1996, to Rayford Smith and Angela Mays in Jasper, Texas. He joined Westlake Baptist Church at an early age.

Rayford Smith, Jr., attended Jasper High School. After graduating from Jasper High, he worked at Lincoln Lumber Company and later worked at Coburn's of Jasper.

Rayford was preceded in death by his grandparents, Arthur/Mary Mays and David/Jessie Smith, of Jasper.

Jones (Bill), all of CA, Katie Forward (Melvin) of Newton, TX, and Dietrich Jones (Christopher) of Dallas, TX; uncle, Hebert Mays of Jasper, TX; stepsisters, Quinn, Rosnique, and Kayla; stepbrother, Leland; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
