Raymona Ann Mays was born on April 16, 1971 in Jasper Texas to Mr. and Mrs. Billie Joe Sr. and Earnestine Mays. She was the fifth child of eight children.

She was a member of Westside Church of Christ. Raymona Ann Mays was baptized at Westside Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her father, Billie Joe Mays Sr.

Raymona Ann Mays graduated from Jasper High School, class of '89. After graduating high school she attended Angelina College in Lufkin to purse a degree in Childcare. She chose to put her education on hold and returned to Jasper to raise her two sons Chance and LeDale. She then continued her education in 2015 and graduated from Angelina College in 2017 with a degree in Childcare and 2018 with a Child and Family Development Degree. She worked for Jasper ISD as a transportation and educational aide. She served the students of Jasper ISD at both Few Primary and Parnell Elementary. She loved her kids and was always promoting the positive and giving out treats and awards for good deeds. She was a founder of the Catch a Compliment Award at Few Primary. She was loved by her students, parents, and co-workers. She also worked in the healthcare services and private sitting. Later in her career she worked at Sonic and Provalus. Raymona worked every job with a smile and with a purpose. Raymona was a caring and devoted mother who worked hard to raise her two sons.

Raymona leaves to cherish her memories: her sons, Chance Maysm and LeDale White; her mom, Earnestine Williams Mays; six (6) brothers: Billie Joe Mays Jr. (Lisa) Jasper TX, Mark Mays (Pam), Erick Patrick Mays (Eleanor), Lance Mays (Christy), Brian Mays (Latisha) all of Humble TX, and Kevin Mays of Jasper TX; one (1) sister: Amy Mays Lacey Humble TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
