Obituary

Richard Judd "Ricky" Holloway was born August 7, 1969 in Newton County Texas. He was the youngest of twelve children born to the late R. J. and Annie Holloway. He joined Liberty Baptist Church at an early age. He attended Newton schools but completed his senior year at Burkeville High and then joined the Army. After graduation from basic training in Fort Benning, Georgia PFC, Richard Holloway spent time in South Korea and received an honorable discharge after serving 2 years.

Ricky's son Richard Shunn Damion Holloway, sisters: Lavern Spikes, Dyann Bennett; brothers: Johnny Holloway and James Holloway preceded him in death.

Ricky lived for a short time in Alaska. He also worked offshore as a Chef. He was a great cook. He held many trades and worked as a laborer in many capacities. He loved to work with his hands. He could fix most anything. His final job was at Pilgrim's Pride in Lufkin, Texas where he worked for several years until he became too ill to do so in April of this year.

Ricky loved being a father. His children and grandchildren were his driving force. He also enjoyed being the baby brother lavished in love by his sisters and brothers.

When Ricky joined New Life Changes church, he made it a family affair. He sang in the choir, he was an usher, helped with security and assisted with fundraising efforts. It was Ricky's faith and the love of his family and friends that helped him throughout his battle with cancer.

Ricky made his transition from time to eternity on November 11, 2019.

Ricky Holloway leaves to cherish his memory 4 daughters; Tawatha Fowler, Ta'Shala Holloway, Meliscia Holloway, and Myiesha Holloway; 2 son, Devan Holloway and Akentadae Holloway; 5 sisters, Mary Twine, Patricia Holloway, Anita Holloway, Juanita Holloway and Joyce Holloway; 2 brothers, David Holloway and Jocephus (Wonda) Holloway, 5 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
