Rosie Mae Johnson was born August 22, 1938 in Jasper Texas to Bulah Cauley Houston and the late Sam Houston. She attended Rowe High School in Jasper.

Rosie was united in marriage to Harold Johnson II. To this union, four children were born. Rosie was a loving house wife and mother.

Proceeded in death by her father, Sam Houston; mother, Bulah Houston; brothers, Sammy Lee Houston, LaSalle Houston Sr. and Jimmy Houston.

She leaves to cherish her memory, one son, Carl Dennis Johnson (Aurora); three daughters, Evelyn Marie (Earl) and Susan. One brother, Billy Houston; five sisters, Wille Mae Hafford, Helen Miles, Brenda Houston (Speedy), Carolyn Jackson and Tracey Houston; two sister-n-laws, Mary Joyce Houston and Louise Carter; six grandchildren and 10 great-grand children; Jamoral, LeKendrick, Sha'Vernon, Earl Jr, LaToya & Ebony and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
