Roy Lee (RL) Vincent, Sr., was born on October 27, 1954, in Beaumont, Texas, to the late Willie Lee Vincent and Hallie Fowler Vincent. He graduated from Hebert High School and went on to work for the Union Pacific Railroad for over 20 years. RL loved fishing, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.

RL was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Lee Vincent and Hallie Fowler Vincent; and brother, Marvin Vincent.

RL leaves to celebrate his life and legacy: his wife, Evelyn of Beaumont, TX; son, Roy Lee Vincent, Jr., of Houston, TX; daughters, Shantae Vincent of Houston, TX, and LaShae' Mays of Woodlands, TX; he is also survived by his grandchildren, Zaylen, Derrion Mays III, Malik, Calib, Alexis, Ke'Aira, and Kayla; and by a host of nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
