Seddrick Jerome
Gatson
Aug 17, 1979 — Aug 8, 2024
Burkeville
Seddrick Jerome Gatson Sr. ("Tuni") was born August 17, 1979, in Jasper, Texas, to Janice Gatson Lee and Raymond Peacock, Sr.
His early years was spent growing up as true country boy in Wiergate, Texas. Tuni was a proud Burkeville Mustang, where he played football, basketball and track.
After graduation in 1997, he immediately joined the workforce at the Wiergate Lumber company as a laborer and forklift operator. He furthered his education by obtaining his CDL which led him to his true passion for truck driving. Tuni worked for over 21 years as a truck driver hauling wood chips, logs and most of all talking to his friends on the CB, better known as "Birdman" to the trucking community.
Tuni's true love was spending time with his family. He loved playing dominoes with his brother, cousins and life-time friends, and more importantly, bragging when his beloved San Francisco 49ers were winning. He had a big heart touching many lives and was loved by all.
On Thursday, August 8, 2024, God chose to call Tuni home.
Preceding him in death are his grandparents, Albert Lee and Rosie Gatson, and uncle, Jack Gatson.
He leaves to celebrate his life: his mother, Janice Gatson Lee (Terrell), and father, Raymond Peacock, Sr. (April); grandmother, Patsy Sykes; three sons, Seddrick, Jr., Gatson, Jaylon Mason, and Cameron Gatson; two daughters, Krystal Johnson and Se'Dayshia Gatson; one grandson, Ty'zir; aunts, Terri Steele, Janette Gatson, Carolyn Gatson, Rosalind Gatson, and Yolanda Terrell; uncles, Donald Peacock,
Anthony Peacock, Andre Reescano, and Marcus Terrell; and siblings, Anthony Gatson (Micole), Raymond Peacock, Jr. (Crystal), Brandon Peacock, Preston Peacock (Tatiana), Janice ("Blackwell") Gatson, and Tiffiany Gatson (Kassi). Tuni also leaves a host of nieces, nephews and cousins to cherish his memory.
