Obituary

Sharon Marshall Fudge Rawls was born on May 11, 1969, in Monroe, Louisiana, to the late Odella Marie Fudge Sartin and Samuel Modigue. She peacefully departed this life on July 12, 2026, at her home in Katy, Texas, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, laughter, and unwavering honesty. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; devoted stepfather, Lonnie Sartin, who lovingly raised her; sister, Sandra Seals; father-in-law, Jack C. Brooks; and nephew, Timothy Robinson. A proud graduate of Monroe High School, Sharon continued her education at Grambling State University, where she earned an Associate of Arts Degree in Business Administration. She built a successful career as a Professional Logistics Specialist, working for Coca-Cola in Beaumont, Texas, and later with King Chemical in Houston, Texas. Her dedication, professionalism, and strong work ethic earned the respect of those who had the privilege of working alongside her. Sharon was known for her vibrant personality and unforgettable spirit. She loved to laugh, have a good time, and wasn't afraid to "talk a little noise" when the moment called for it. She was a no-nonsense woman who believed in telling it like it was–always straightforward, honest, and true to herself. Beneath her strong exterior was a loving heart devoted to her family and those she held dear. She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her beloved husband, Marcus D. Rawls; children, Brandon Fudge, Burnet King Jr., Kiara Rawls, Marrissa Rawls, Justin Rawls, and Alex Rawls; and cherished grandchildren, Pearson, Legacy, Brandon Jr., Gabby, and Laliah. She is also survived by her brother, Sammie Fudge; sister, Gevenna Lynn Fudge; brother-in-law, Charles A. Brooks (Thelma); sister- in-law, Jackie Brooks-Teal (Dwight); and beloved fur baby, Zeus, who was truly a treasured member of the family. In addition to her immediate family, Sharon leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish her love, laughter, strength, and the countless memories they shared with her. Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we find comfort in knowing that Sharon's legacy of love, resilience, and authenticity will continue to live on through all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.
