A Time to Be Born:
Sheila Rawls was born August 29, 1962, to Lonnie Mae Johnson and David Gatson.

A Time to Reflect:
Sheila was a 1980 graduate of Burkeville High School. She accepted Christ at an early age and attended New Greater Macedonia Baptist Church in Wiergate, Texas. She had a great sense of humor and a heart of gold. She worked in the prison system for many years and led many to Christ, witnessing to everyone she came in contact with, telling them about the love of Christ and his saving power. In July of 2012, she united with the House of Safety Ministries, under the leadership of Pastor Stephen O'Gilbert, where she served the Lord with joy and gladness until her death.

A Time to Go Home:
Sheila left this life to return to the open arms of her Creator on Sunday, November 22, 2020. She joined her mother, Lonnie Mae Johnson; her father, David Gatson; brother, Anthony Johnson; and her paternal and maternal grandparents.

Left to Treasure Many Memories:
Sheila is gone, but never forgotten. She leaves to cherish her memories: her loving husband, Harold Rawls; daughter, Arkisha (Robert) Arline; son, James Fowler, Jr.; five grandchildren, Zachary Arline, Zaiden Arline, Abbie Fowler, Jordyn Fowler, and Jaceion Fowler; sisters, Brenda Peyton of Mississippi, Gail (Bill) Adams, and Sandra Limbrick, both of Jasper, and Augustine (Robert) Samuel of Wiergate; brothers, Austin (Alice) Johnson, Jr., of Wiergate, and Craig (Gail) Johnson, and Gary Johnson, both of Jasper, Texas; stepchildren, Cedric (Shay) Rawls, Shekita Rawls, and Harold, Jr., (Jamie), all of Houston, Texas, Quanita (Reggie) Tyler of Jasper, Texas, and Quinton (Jessica) Rawls of Beaumont, Texas; eight step-grandchildren; and a host of coworkers, cousins, friends, nieces, and nephews.
