Telma Lee Grant was born September 25, 1945, in Jasper, TX, to the late Naomi and Herbert Hadnot.
At an early age, Thelma joined Moss Temple Sanctified Church. She went on later in life to join Faith Temple COGIC where she belonged, until covid and her health failed her. She graduated from J.H. Rowe High School in 1964. She worked for the Mary Dickerson Hospital Dietary Department for over 30 years when she retired in 2006.

Telma was preceded in death by her parents, Naomi and Herbert Hadnot; son, Carl Grant, Jr.; siblings, Rachel Grant, RJ Hadnot, Charles Hadnot, Dorothy Seale, Peggy Pittman, Audrey Peters, Herbert Hadnot, Jr., and Betty Faye Hadnot.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her children, Michelle Grant of Jasper, TX, Jamie Grant (Reinetta) of Deridder,
LA; sisters, Lottie Pegues (Willie), Linda Barlow (Herbert Sr) both of Jasper, TX, Mary Ann Porter of Newton, TX; one brother, Hubert Hadnot (Eddie Joyce) of Jasper, TX; eight grandchildren, Chandra Carter, Jamie Grant, LaTavia Cuney, Crosby Jackson, Octavious Grant, Tyara Rawls, Christopher (CJ) Grant, and Mykia White; one special friend, Mary Hicks; and a host of nieces and nephews.
