Obituary

Vernor Adams was born on July 20, 1961 to Nathaniel and Connie (Calhoun) Adams. He attended Burkeville schools and was a member of the 1979 graduating class. It was in this class that he met his lifelong friend and future wife to be Shelia (Fowler) Adams. This union produced 3 sons. Vernor had also fathered a daughter, in a previous relationship.
Logging was a part of the Adams bloodline and like his predecessors Vernor became a logger as well. He honed his craft and was an especially skilled saw man. He loved motorcycles and in his hayday he was said to be one of the best bike riders in Southeast Texas. Another thing Vernor loved was his family. He was raised in a large family and formed an irrevocable bond with his nine siblings. This bond remained intact until his death. He was raised in a Christian home with Christian values, and at the time of his death he was attending Harvest church in Jasper TX
Vernor loved people and he loved to make them laugh. He never met a stranger. One of his favorite phrases was, "...I ain't mad atcha."

He was preceded in death by his parents, Connie and Nathaniel Adams. Father in love, James Monroe Fowler Sr. Brother, Charles Jones Sr. Granddaughter, Prishell Trene' Adams.

He leaves to mourn his precious memories: He is survived by Shelia and the boys; Devin DeRay Adams, Dedric DeMon Adams and Daron DeNard Adams, all of Jasper TX; daughter; Miranda Tinzie and Grandson Ethan, of Arlington TX; brothers; Charles Adams, of NewtonTX. Michael Adams and Richard Adams both of Jasper, TX; sisters; Nettie Adams of Jasper, TX, Matlene (Ricky) Boatner and Glenda (Carlton) Haywood both of Wiergate, TX. Sharon (Dave) Lewis of Newton TX, Yolanda Adams of Houston, TX and Kristle (Robert) Mewes of Winona TX; his Fowler Family, mother in love; Priscilla Fowler of Wiergate, TX; brothers in love: James (Charlotte) Fowler of San Antonio Texas, Joseph Fowler Sr. and Greggory Fowler of Wiergate, TX; sister in love: Patrina Fowler of Colleyville, TX. A host of family and friends.
