Obituary

Wayne Twine was a faithful servant of God, as well as loving partner, son, brother, cousin, uncle, and friend. He was born to the late "JB" Peacock and Mable Twine on December 23, 1959. He was preceded in death by his parents; twin brother; sister, Helen Faye Grant, brother, Donald Peacock and step-son, Carl Morris.

Wayne graduated from Burkeville High School in 1978. He began working at County Line Liquor Store. His integrity, discipline, and dependability allowed him to work at the same job for over 40 years. He was admired and respected by all who walked through the County Line Doors. He became a pillar of the community and friend.

During high school, he met his life partner, Brenda Morris, who he loved dearly with all his heart.

Wayne knew his purpose in life was to serve. He found his church home at West Chapel Baptist Church in Newton County. He eventually became a devoted usher. Wayne wasn't in the choir but loved to sing gospel hymns. He remained a faithful member until the Lord called him home.

On Thursday, February 4, 2021, he departed this life for his eternal home. He leaves to cherish his memory: his faithful life partner, Brenda Morris; his brother Harry "Bill" Twine of Houston, Texas and Sister Billie Scott (Tommie) of Los Angeles, California. He also leaves behind 2 nieces: Monica Scott and Angela Stewart (Rodney), two nephews: Brian Scott and Gregory Grant (Dimona), two great nephews, two great nieces, aunts, uncles, and a host of cousins, and friends.
